Robin & I opened Timothy’s Pub in July 1998. Our initial plans called for a place that would feel like home. We wanted people to feel comfortable in a low key environment, one that would mimic our previous at-home parties. We think we’ve achieved that with our cozy atmosphere where “everyone knows your name”.
I have enjoyed many years in the hospitality industry and have used the best of my experiences to establish a setting that would encourage the spirit of family and maintain the highest level of customer service. I strive to make your time at Timothy’s one of fun and new experiences! We have had many excursions outside of the pub and for those who like to stay closer to home we have wine and scotch tastings, as well as 15 TV’s (including an 11 foot high definition screen) to watch your favourite sports.
Over the past 20 years Timothy’s Pub has become one of the top live music destinations in the GTA. We pride ourselves in giving our customers the best experience in live entertainment and our line up on a weekly basis reflects that. We offer live music 7 times a week, over 6 days. There’s something for everyone! Please check out our calendar page to see what’s happening and to plan your next trip to Timothy’s Pub.
We have made our home in Alderwood and Robin grew up in the neighbourhood. She has been re-united with many of her old school friends through the pub. Many people from this area still live here or have moved back, looking for the small town feeling Alderwood has to offer. We are happy to be able to raise our daughter in such a caring environment and new-comers to the area have found a quiet, intimate neighborhood to call home. At Timothy’s we foster that feeling with a regular clientele who are happy to have a meeting place to gather with friends.
Our customers are the best! Through their generosity we sponsored over 60 families during our first eight Christmases. And over the past twenty years we have raised in excess of $150,000 from our Annual Christmas Silent Auction Fundraiser and Canada Day Party!!! Our customers not only donate many of the items for our Silent Auction, but then attend our special night and donate back to the fundraiser. The main benefactor of those donations is our local Salvation Army who use the money to support local residents at Christmas and by sending many children to summer camp each year.
Our staff can’t be beat! They have a way of making everyone feel welcome and give the best service there is to offer. Whether it’s remembering your favourite drink or even the type of glass you like to drink it in, they’re on the ball! Don’t forget to ask your server about the daily specials and promotions. And speaking of specials, be sure to check out the kitchen staff’s special entrée and soup of the day.
We hope to see you soon,
Timothy
